Wheel of the Year

Just wanted to remind you that even Wiccans and modern pagans also celebrate Easter, under the name Ostara. Here is the Wheel of the Year, that shows us Ostara is one of the 8 neopagan sabbats or holidays. The name Ostara-Eostre-Easter, all have to do goddess worship of fertility, the moon and the earth.

Ostara is observed on the spring equinox, around March 20th, marking the time when the sun passes over the celestial equator. Easter is always on the 1st Sunday, following the full moon, after this spring equinox. This is the reason for Easter being in the month of March or April.

When Wiccans and Neopagan celebrate Ostara, some also add the worship of not only the spring maiden goddess but the male horned god also. A festival that celebrates the season’s change from dark winter to bright spring. Some undertake a fast during this period also, to clear away the toxins of the winter.

Just as Easter, symbols of fertility and new life play a prominent role in many of Ostara celebrations, they include eggs, rabbits, flowers and seeds. And are incorporated into rituals, altars and celebratory feasts. These Wiccans do invoke their goddess. And says their blessings on altars with eggs, candles, seeds, herbs and spring flowers. They finish their ritual with the rite of cakes and wine.

Yes, many will say that they don't care, and they only worship Jesus, The Messiah. However I would just like you to ponder on the fact that many Churches today seem to be partaking in these same man-made traditions. We are to be separate from the world, we don't need to be partaking in these things that the Church has adopted from the pagans. We don't need bunnies, eggs, buns, etc. Worship Jesus, The Messiah in truth! Read what the Word commands us to do, and throw all these man-made traditions away!

Keep seeking the truth!
