"Midnight Mass during the Witching Hour/ Devil's Hour?"
Why midnight?
The most popular Christmas Mass for Roman Catholics is the Midnight Mass, a tradition that began in the early 400's. Midnight mass is traditionally held at midnight obviously, as Christmas Eve becomes Christmas Day, because it was believed that Jesus was born at midnight. Roman Catholics are not alone, Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists and some Eastern Christians attend this Midnight mass as well. However more recently, at the Vatican, Pope Francis has started this Mass at 10pm and ending it closer to midnight.
The Witching Hour is a term in Occult belief that refers to the time at which beings such as witches, demons, and ghosts are thought to appear and to be at their most powerful. Black magic is thought to be most effective at this time. Most Dictionaries will claim that the Witching Hour is…. "An hour when supernatural events are thought to occur, especially at midnight."
The exact hour of the “Witching Hour” is up for debate. Some claim the time begins at the stroke of midnight while others hold that 3:00 AM it begins due to it being the 'darkest hour'.
However, we all know that 12:00AM is an eerie time! Most don't want to be out at that hour. There are many references to things happening at the stroke of midnight through out books, movies and culture.
In the Occult world, they believe that as the Moon is out at night, night time energy is more feminine in nature. It's a time when the veil between the worlds is the thinnest. You are appealing to the Mother Goddess. Midnight would be the most powerful time to cast spells.
Besides the moon, the Occult also believe that there is power in the Solstices and Equinoxes, along with Planetary Alignment, and time on the Clock. A spell casting method used in Conjuring is to time your spells according to the clock. This needs to be on an analog clock with a face and hands, not a digital clock. The moment of midnight is significant, representing a balance between good and evil.
Thus maybe the real reason for their Midnight Mass to take place, it's a spiritual time. Don't forget, The Heavenly Father also sent the angel of death out at Midnight to kill the first born of Egypt as the last plague. (Exodus 12:29)
Then the Christmas Day mass, is held at 12 noon, 12 hours after this mass takes place. And a special 'blessing' is sent out to the whole world. So they have their dark and light balance. It's all connected to occult practices.

Don't forget this is also broadcasted live around the world. Satan is basking is this spiritual engery world wide. This is also the same time that children are sleeping as parents are gathering the gifts under their Christmas trees. While many tell their children that Santa (satan) is traveling the world at midnight going into the homes of all children.
