Holiday Blues (Post 20)

'The Holiday Blues'

Please, if you are feeling down, you need to remember, it's just another day. And yes, for many the holiday season is an enjoyable time.

However, for others, these holidays are attached with emotions that can lead to sadness, self-reflection, loneliness, anxiety, and even depression.

What causes these holiday blues? Well, we know sadness doesn't affect everyone the same, for some it comes from stress, fatigue, unrealistic expectations, financial pressures, the inability to be with one's family and friends, a divorce, a death, past memories etc.

If you are feeling lonely or depressed at this time of the year, you need to come to The Heavenly Father. He is the ONLY one who can bring you true comfort and peace and remove your stress, anxiety and depression.

These 'Blues' are of the enemy, satan, and simply a waste of 'Emotional Energy', do not allow him to steal your JOY! The internet is filled with 'How to beat the Holiday Blues' or 'Remedies for your Holiday Depression' and so on, however, these are worldly ways, and they are temporary fixes.

Please remember that man created this holiday and hyped it up to a point of such high expectations. You don't have to buy into the deception. Remember it's just another day! Find your joy in Him, and Him alone! He loves you so much and He wants to fill you with His JOY! Here are some beautiful verses for you to ponder on…

May the God of Hope fill you with all JOY and PEACE in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in Hope. -Romans 15:13

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for JOY, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. -Psalm 5:11

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of JOY; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. -Psalm 16:11

These things have I spoken unto you, that my JOY might remain in you, and that your JOY might be full. -John 15:11

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and PEACE and JOY in the Holy Spirit. -Romans 14:17

Much Love!
