Just The word ‘Merry Christmas’ (Post 7)

Just the words alone, Merry Christmas, where did it come from? It comes from the shortened form of "Christ's Mass".
If you're going to celebrate something that you believe brings glory to The Father 'The Creator' then it would be wise to do a little homework. Does the word "Christmas" mean the birth of Christ?
The word "Merry" obviously means to be Cheerful. However, everyone takes for granted that the word, "Christmas" means "The Birth of Christ" due to tradition. Yet by definition, it really means the "Death of Christ".

Take a look at these excerpts here.....
"The World Book Encyclopedia defines "Christmas" as follows: "The word Christmas comes from "Cristes Maesse", an early English phrase that means "Mass of Christ." It is interesting to note that the word "Mass", as used by the Roman Catholics, has traditionally been rejected by the so-called Protestants, such as Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals and so on. The word "Mass" is STRICTLY a Catholic word and thus, so is "Christ-Mass."

"The word "Mass" in religious usage means a "death sacrifice." The impact of this fact is horrifying and shocking; for when the millions of people are saying, "Merry Christmas", they are literally saying "Merry death of Christ!" Furthermore, when the fat man in the red suit laughs boisterously and says, "Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas", he is mocking and laughing at the suffering and bleeding Saviour, who died for our sins. He does this while parents place their little children into his waiting arms to hear his false promises of gifts that he says he will give them. Consider what you are saying when you say "Merry Christmas."

"Yes, the word "Mass" does mean "death sacrifice", and to cement that fact, we will consider the definition of the inventors of the religious application of the word "Mass." I am looking at page 537 of the Catholic Encyclopedia, which says, "In the Christian law, the supreme sacrifice is that of the Mass." It goes on to say, "The supreme act of worship consists essentially in an offering of a worthy victim to God, the offering made by a proper person, as a priest, the destruction of the victim." Please note carefully the word, "victim" of the Mass. The Latin word for victim is "Hostia" from which the word "host" is derived. The Mass, by definition of those who coined the word, is a sacrifice involving a victim. There is no other meaning for the word "Mass" or "Christ-Mass."

"In essence, the Mass is the ceremonial slaying of Jesus Christ over and over again, followed by the eating of his flesh and the drinking of his blood. [our note: this is a very great blasphemy]. The sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ only occurred one time and it is finished. The Mass is the death sacrifice, and the "Host" is the victim. This is official Roman Catholic doctrine, and "Christmas" is a word that they invented. Again, I ask, what is so merry about the pain, bleeding, suffering and death of Jesus Christ?" These excerpts are taken from David J. Meyer's article.

Now, some will disagree and state that if we look at the 'etymology' of the word 'Mass' it means 'Dismissal' and that is true as well…"Middle English messe, masse, from Old English mæsse, from Vulgar Latin *messa "eucharistic service," literally "dismissal"
So could "Merry Christ-Mas" actually mean to 'Cheerfully dismiss Jesus as Christ'? And replace Him with a substitute, another Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4) instead of the Biblical Jesus, with the Roman Catholic Christ? Well, that is one of the titles of the Pope, the Vicar of Christ. With 'Vicar' meaning, 'Substitute'. Hmm, maybe!

But still a Religious Mass is a Mass, and it's blasphemous, as stated above, look up the meaning of Transubstantiation. This is when the Priest does his little hocus-pocus and demands that Jesus come down from heaven and be sacrificed again and again into that wafer, sun disk, that the Catholics then eat.

You may not be partaking in a 'Mass' during 'Christmas', but the whole world is while you still partake in this holiday, which means 'Holy Day'. Remember there is a 'Spirit of Christmas' that sweeps the earth during this time, the darkest time of year.

You see Protestants, whom came out from the Roman Catholic Church, should be taking a stand against Christ-Mass and not partaking with her. But satan has deceived so many by using our emotions and fleshy desires against us, that most 'Christians' (Protestants) have gone silent on this matter OR worse, come up with excuses to keep 'The Mass of Christ' feast day.

We know that satan is the most cunning, and he has tricked so many innocent Believers. Please remember, that our Father in Heaven is merciful and He said in His Word that if we don't know any better He overlooks it, but once we have understanding, then He excepts repentant hearts… "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" Acts 17:30

Also Jesus said in Matthew 12:36-37, I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

YES! We are justified freely by His grace! However I'm clearly using this verse to show the importance of the words that we speak. OR even type. And when we speak, let it also be in love. I share these post, with the hope that it may inspire you to start studying for your own self. I share them to bring awareness not judgement! IF this is all new to you, pray about it and ask the Father for discernment.

Much love!
